Street Performer's Flame-Throwing Bagpipe Cover Of AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' Goes Viral
June 28, 2013Cam McAzie, a.k.a. the Badpiper, who is described as "the world's only flame-throwing, leather-clad, heavily tattooed punk rock warrior," has received nearly half a million of views on YouTube for his performance of the AC/DC classic "Thunderstruck" on a Fremantle, Western Australia street this past May.
The Perth-based musician has been piping away since 1995 and has issued three albums so far, including his latest, "Burn", which is proving to be his greatest release to date. A return to the original balls-out rock'n'roll pipes that made him famous around the globe, "Burn" is full-on rock, with tributes to Bon Scott (AC/DC) and Freddie Mercury (QUEEN),as well as a timeless rock ballad and some jigs that would have the Irish getting their legs all twisted up.
The Badpiper previously performed his version of "Thunderstruck" in 2010 during the semifinals of the Australian reality television talent show "Australia's Got Talent".
